How this page is built
- Same weekly pull and relevance filters as the Endometriosis, PCOS, Menopause pages: ClinicalTrials.gov API v2 and the EU Clinical Trials Information System (CTIS).
- Open means recruiting or not yet recruiting overall and, where the registry gives it, at the Irish or UK sites too (ClinicalTrials.gov site status, or Ireland's own country status in CTIS). Because of that, counts can be a little lower than on the per-country condition pages, which use the trial's overall status.
- Northern Ireland: registries list NI sites under "United Kingdom". We mark a site as Northern Ireland from its city, county or hospital name (for example Belfast, Derry/Londonderry or Craigavon). Site detail is only available from ClinicalTrials.gov.
- UK coverage: since Brexit the UK isn't in EU CTIS, and many UK studies are registered only on ISRCTN, which we don't cover yet. UK counts are therefore a floor, not a full count.
- Duplicates: when a ClinicalTrials.gov record cites an EU trial number that is also in the list, it is shown once, with the EU number noted.
